I'm Rachel, your North Georgia photographer with a love for moody light, natural connection, and images that make you feel something. I believe the best photographs happen when you feel comfortable, seen, and free to be yourself. My lighthearted and laid-back approach to my sessions will keep you laughing and help you feel at ease. My style is moody/true-to-color with pops of warmth. I'm here to turn real life into art that you'll love for years to come.
A little more about me! I'm an early pre-k teacher by day and a mom to two wonderful boys. One is a teenager and one is in the throws of elementary school. Both keep me on my toes in the best way possible! I love nature and am always looking for my next adventure. Art, my family, my sweet pup, and finding the joy in the little things fuel my days. Life is beautiful and I want to experience every ounce of it!
My approach
My approach to photography is rooted in storytelling, connection, and comfort. I love capturing genuine, in between moments just as much as a beautifully posed image. You'll never be left wondering what to do or where to put your hands. I gently guide you throughout the session so you feel relaxed, confident, and natural in front of the camera. The result is a balance of honest moments and intentional portraits that feel effortless and true to you.

Root & Reverie Photography captured pictures of our family with our sweet dog Charlie before he passed the Rainbow Bridge. She was very considerate of our family and this hard time. She brought special treats for Charlie and supplies to create paw prints. She went above and beyond just taking pictures for us. We will definitely be using her again to capture more family memories.
